Vastu originated in India thousands of years back.Our ancient saints formulated various principles based on sunlight and energy and to stabilize the five elements of nature to take the maximum advantage out of it.Its a 5000 years old science whereas Chinese Feng Shui is 3500 to 4000 years old.

Basically Vastu Shastra gives a fair touch in every aspects of life on earth as well as the universe and deals with architecture and construction or building science.The theme is the relation between human and cosmos.The word 'Vastu' was originated from the term 'Vastoshpati'which was used in the Rig Veda,and said to give happiness,wealth and protection in life.
However Vastu Purush is the main acent of Vastu Shastra and is considered the main element in buiiding.It is a science of the cognitions os directions and acquires an entire command over it.
In Vastu Shastra the spiritual and physical prosperity are dealth with taking into consideration environments and spaces.Evolved in India during the Vedic period was transfered to South East Asia,Tibet snd finally to Japan and China where Feng-Shui originated.
Applications of Vastu Shastra are revevantly present in the Ramayan and Mahabharat period and also is found in the cities of Harappa and Mohanjodaro.

Ancient saints have said that Vastu is based on positive and negative powers which constantly contacts with each other on the land's surface.When positive energy is more in the construction it gives good results compared to negative energy and vice a verse.When the balance of these energy are achieved we get success, wealth, health and peace.
